Lucky overseas property investors who made the excellent decision to invest in MRI Construction’s first development, Aspen Golf in Razlog, Bulgaria, can feel justifiably pleased with themselves this month.

The development is now having the finishing touches made to it, including the installation of its luxury cabana bar, pool area and landscaping. As you can see from the pictures below, it is now excitingly close to completion.

MRI is doubly proud because of being shortlisted for five categories in the prestigious Homes Overseas Awards this year – one of the top award ceremonies in the overseas real estate industry. Among the five prizes MRI is up for, Aspen Golf has been nominated as:

• Best Ski Development

That the very first project we’ve undertaken has been received so well by the overseas property industry is testament to the immense amount of work put in by everyone involved with it, and we’re incredibly pleased to have reached both the final stages of Aspen Golf’s construction and the final stages of the Homes Overseas Awards!

But it’s not just the development that’s good news for the astute investors who signed up for a unit back in 2005 when we launched Aspen Golf. Since 2005, there has been huge investment in the Razlog Valley and Bansko. New roads and infrastructure have been put in, new bars and restaurants have opened in Bansko town itself, and the media has jumped on the bandwagon in the UK, with the Daily Mail recently predicting that "owners in Bansko are about to hit the jackpot".

Massive interest in the region has led to more cheap flight routes being added, and increasing demand for properties in Bansko. easyJet are just the latest airline to announce a route into Sofia airport (which is convenient for Aspen Golf), making it even more easy to reach.
